First Friday Dinner Club

May 5, 2008

>

Last Friday night we found ourselves at our first dinner club outing, thanks to Holly! This month’s night out started at the hip restaurant Cuba Libre in Uptown. Trey and I both agree that the best thing on the menu are the Surf and Turf tacos with fries. YUM!! Then, we hit Cru in the West Village, a local wine bar, hoping for some good desserts. Not so much- everything on the menu had either chocolate or cooked fruit, and I am not a fan of either. But, there were fun wine samples and we had a great spot on the patio. It was perfect weather to just sit and visit! We even saw someone famous- he had a sweet grill, some chains, and a large bodyguard. He couldn’t have been that big of a star because none of us recognized him. However, I will still claim that we ran into a famous person because it sounds cool. Here are some pictures of our first outing as a dinner club! Next stop- some burger joint in Deep Elum Keith says is amazing… I’ll be sure to post my review!

    >We had so much fun at dinner club! You forgot to mention that the “famous person” with the grill, chains, and body guard…was probably about 65 years old! Keith said his depends were hanging out of his draws! Good times!
