My Smart Girl.

>We’ll be in Hawaii when Chloe turns 17 months, but I wanted to go ahead and write down what all she is doing at this age. She is such a smartie!

Here is Chloe telling you how old she is. Thanks, Noni, for teaching her that!

She LOVES phones, remotes, etc. Yesterday Trey and I caught her in the car with my old cel phone saying “hi” and just talking up a storm in her own language. It was priceless.

This is her watching Mickey Mouse with her two best friends (other than Owen!). She now says Mi-E for Mickey and Mimi for Minnie. She can tell them apart easily, gets mad when someone else holds them, and wants them both when she goes to bed. Also, when anyone says “Mickey Mouse” around her, she starts singing “doo-to-doo” and dancing, just like the beginning of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. It is adorable.

She is saying all sorts of words now- pretty much anything you ask her to say she’ll say it. She can already identify the letters O, E, and L and the colors blue and yellow (her mom is a teacher!). She loves to point to things while we count them. She can put all of her shapes in the correct holes and knows the names of them all. She loves books. She will always find the right way to open it and then will meticulously turn each page. She loves getting her purse “on” and then pushing her stroller (usually full of a baby, her Mickey, and her water) all around the house. She still loves her lovie (she calls it her ya-ya) and wants it to be near her at all times. She is taking 5-10 steps by herself, and getting steadier every day! Her physical therapist thinks she will be “dismissed” in August because she is pretty much caught up with her motor skills.

Chloe loves her bath time, and especially bubbles. She loves Cheetos, grapes, waffles, and sour cream. She loves to “dip” her food into ketchup and ranch. A balloon makes her day. She loves to sit in her car seat when it is in the house (I really need to get her a chair that’s her size!). She would climb on the couch all day if we’d let her. She’d also watch Mickey Mouse and Dora all day if we’d let her. She loves Boots the dog and they play chase around the island in the kitchen.

She loves it when we come and get her out of bed in the morning. She is all smiles, jumping and clapping with excitement. She says “eat” when she is hungry, “poo-poo” when she is dirty, and “nighnigh” when she is sleepy. She has become a momma’s girl this summer but still loves her dada. She gets so excited when we pick him up for lunch and she always wants him to hold her while he’s shaving and getting ready in the morning. She loves to give kisses, loves for me to chase her and tickle her, and claps her hands while getting into a shopping cart (I’ve taught her well!). She is just so much fun these days!
