Lazy Summer Days

June 12, 2010

We have had a great start to summer! Being a mom of two is totally different, but we are adjusting well. Jack turned 4 weeks old yesterday. I can’t believe he’s almost a month old. It is hard to get out with two, especially when Jack is so young, so we’ve been filling our days with Sonic runs, pool time, Food Network (Chloe loves her some Paula), and lots of playing. Here is a look at what’s been going on…

Poor Jack. He is surrounded by girl toys- Chloe loves to share her Barbies and dolls with him. Although I’m proud that my girl is sharing so well with her brother, I’m afraid he won’t be too happy about this picture in years to come. The other day, she had put a naked Barbie next to him to keep him company while doing tummy time. Hilarious!

We LOVE living so close to our good friends The Thomas’. Miss Mia just turned one! You need to read about her “sweet” party- Trey and I were sad to miss out on the big celebration but Jack was born the day before Mia’s birthday. Chloe did get to go and enjoy the sweets and treats with her best girlfriend. Here they are in their swim gear ready for a dip in the pool!
Mia loves the pool! Really she just loves her float. She’d lay like this forever we think- too cute.
Here’s Chloe on another day enjoying our favorite summer treat- frozen yogurt. I bought the popsicle molds at IKEA & filled them with yogurt. They have been a hit!
Hope your summer is off to a lazy start! Ours sure is!
