The plan has changed.

September 12, 2011

Hey y’all! Well, the theme for the Clemens’ household for the rest of the weekend {and many days these days, it seems} was a verse from Proverbs we know well:

On our way home from church Saturday night, Chloe screams out “Jack throwed up! Jack throwed up!” Two seconds later, it was confirmed because we could smell…well… I’ll spare you the details. But, I will say it was the opposite of awesomesauce. One hour and two grumpy parents {and one poor, sick boy} later, we had put the kids to bed, cleaned the car, and had taken apart and cleaned the entire car seat. Why, oh Lord, did he have to throw up ON the buckles? All of them?? Oh, the joys of parenthood.

So, instead of being at church for the first service in our new worship center, and instead of having lunch afterwards with some new friends from church, we stayed at home all day. So goes life! I’m just glad by the afternoon he was up and playing ball with his Daddy. We have a busy week ahead. BSF starts tomorrow and I am SO excited! Also, I’m hoping we’ll still be able to visit my parents at the end of the week. {West Texas! Mom’s cooking! Mr. T’s for Breakfast! These are some things this sister needs right now!}

I hope your week goes as planned. But, if it doesn’t, remember that the Lord has a better plan than we could imagine, even if it includes throw up!

PS- I will say a special prayer for all of you that throw up is not part of His plan for you anytime soon!
