20 months

First of all- The Ancient Computer of 2004 has officially died. It was a day I both dreaded and prayed for on a daily basis. I’m not positive of the extent of our loss- I backed up the big stuff like pictures and videos in November, so I know those are safe. And hopefully we will have someone get everything off of our hard drive…we shall see. So, although frustrating, those of you that know me know that I’ve had my eye on a Mac for a looooooong time. We will see what happens, but I’ve been doing extensive research all week trying to decide what I want to do. In the mean time, blogging from the iPad is a little rough {typing and formatting pics?? Not easy!} so until we get our computer situation figured out, posts will be few and far between!

Now back to today’s topic- Jack turned 20 months this month! I absolutely cannot believe my boy will be two in just a few months. The last few weeks he has changed so much…and I am loving every single minute of this stage! Seriously. I could eat him with a spoon!

Jack- here are a few things about you now:

You said bye to Passy! I am so proud of you! And you are sleeping so good- a consistent two hour nap and 11 hours at night.

We turned you around in your car seat. I know that the new recommendation is two years, but you and I were both ready! You look so excited in this picture and now everyone we get going, you say weeeee and vrooooooom!! And, I love seeing that sweet face in the rear view mirror!

You love to sing! You know all the words to your favorite lullaby “Moon River”, and hearing your sweet voice sing it makes me smile. You sing “Jesus Loves Me”, “Old MacDonald”, and “If You’re Happy and you Know It” all of the time. And yesterday you surprised me by busting out the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy”! Thank you BSF for that one!

You still love all things boy- any ball, your new cars and trains you got for Christmas, and your bike. You LOVE to be outside and throw a fit when we have to come in.

You are a picky eater and you still aren’t gaining much weight, but you are starting to broaden your “likes”. However, your diet still mostly consists of Pop Tarts and cheese. :)

You are the sweetest boy I know! You love your family and especially your Sissy. You want to be wherever she is, all of the time.

Since getting rid of your pacifier, your vocabulary has grown a ton! You say every word you want to say- my favorites are Mommy {instead of Mama}, o-kaaay, look!! {when you want me to check out your coloring or tower building skills}, I love you {but now you draw it out in long words when you want to be extra sweet}, sack {to request your favorite Spiderman snack}, and my ultimate favorite “Hold you?” when you want me to pick you up and cuddle!! You steal my heart every day!!

At your request we read Tumble Bumble every night and you know most of the words. Your favorite page is when the bee comes, and you say Beeeeeeee! You also request that your daddy or I rock you every night, which we adore. Sometimes we fight over who gets to rock you or get you out of bed in the morning- we both love your sweet morning demeanor and crazy curly morning hair!! Oh, Jack! I don’t know what we’d do without you. I am blessed to be your mommy and it is so exciting watching you grow! Praying for you every day and every night~ Mommy
